Summary: As of 1997 collection consists of records of the State Highway Department, Territorial Roads Commission, State Highway Commission, and State Engineer in the capacity of State Highway Engineer (1895-1984). Includes annual and special reports, administrative correspondence, financial records, manuals, publications, directories, maps, ledger books, scrapbooks of clippings, and statistics. Also includes materials concerning the "Que Pasa" newsletter. Records within the collection that predate the Territorial Roads Commission consist of contractors' notebooks kept during the construction of New Mexican bridges in 1895 and later years.
